Michaela Sanchez, Esq.

In pursuit of greater professional challenges and more meaningful work, Andrew Stephenson left a prior career in banking to pursue his J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law, where he previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics. Due to the prior indoctrination he received as a retail banker, Andrew brought with him his unique standards for excellent client service, to which he still passionately strives to keep.

Andrew held various positions during his thirteen-year career at Capital City Bank.  He started as a part-time teller during undergrad and advanced to becoming a manager in the client service center.  In his final role, during his transition from leadership to graduate school, he served as a knowledge resource and advisor to support bank associates of all levels by providing answers to a broad range of policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance questions.  To this day, Andrew maintains the same enthusiasm for providing trusted advice to clients who are confronted with complex and overwhelming legal challenges.

During law school, Andrew successfully maintained a balance between pursuing academic excellence and remaining present in the lives of his family of five during his children’s most formative years.  He is proud of his scholastic achievements, including earning placement on the Florida State University Law Review and a judicial externship at the Florida Supreme Court for Supreme Court Justice Alan Lawson (now retired).  He is likewise proud of the sacrifices he made in his ambitions as a student for the sake of both his family and church community.

In addition to his legal and banking experience, Andrew has also been involved in his community through volunteering and ministry work.  He served as an income tax preparer for low-income filers at the United Way of the Big Bend’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.  He spent six years as a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend. On a few occasions, Andrew got to serve his old high school, Seven Rivers Christian School, as a guest lecturer and substitute teacher. He has also continued to serve his faith communities in various roles as a ministry leader and teacher throughout his adult life.

Prior to joining Louis Law Group, Andrew was a Judicial Law Clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Toomey in the Middle District of Florida. There, he assisted with civil case management, settlement conferences, orders on pretrial motions, reports and recommendations on dispositive motions, review and analysis of search warrants, and the disposition of consent cases.  Also, Andrew is currently licensed to practice law in both Florida and North Carolina.

In short, Andrew is fully committed to his life’s priorities, which include his strongly held faith, his family of five, his passion for professional excellence, and, of course, Florida State University athletics.
